The Elderly Care Certificate is an agreed set of standards that define the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of specific job roles in the health and social care sectors. It's made up of the 15 minimum standards that should be covered if you are 'new to care' and should form part of your overall induction into the field of care giving. The Care Certificate was developed jointly by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health. Skills for Care helps create a well-led, skilled and valued adult social care workforce. They are a trusted independent charity with over 18 years’ experience in workforce development, working as a delivery partner for the Department of Health and Social Care in the United Kingdom. Together with Skills for Care and Learning Pool , C 1st Online Academy has created the Elderly Care platform for learning for all persons wanting to enter the world of care giving , giving them the underpinning knowledge and understanding that is needed to enter this field.

This demo course displays several Patient Care modules from the Learning Pool and Skills 4 Care catalogue.
